Blessed, blessed to have family that misses me, goes around the island buying food for my very first meal back home.
Blessed to have friends who make effort to come to the airport and cart my very heavy and obtrusive luggage all the way home on train- and thankful that Becca is always so well prepared. Extra ez-link cards, extra bags. And Ah Dex with all his new gadgets.
Blessed to have friends who take time to send you off at the airport too. Sarah with her car, missing a left side mirror who gallantly rescued me from being stuck in the laundry area and ZQ who came all the way to the airport for the 5th time in 2 weeks and helped me with my extra heavy luggage.
Blessed to have P as a housemate for the past week or so, baking/cooking together, eating brekky together. Wondering what to do with one too many sweet mangoes, capsicums. Doesn't help that she makes icing- the yummiest thing ever.
Blessed to be home at long last, and to be able to go to church and see everyone again.
Blessed to be able to go caroling, to be able to give tracts out and sow some seeds.
Blessed to be able to eat my charsiew fan and ba chor mee so freely again!

Although the fig tree shall not blossom
neither shall fruit be in the vines;
the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat;
the flock shall be cut off from the fold,
and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
Habakkuk 3:17-18
This lullaby is only a few words
A simple run of chords
Quiet here in this spare room
But you can hear it, hear it
Wherever you may go
I will let you down
But this lullaby plays on
