photobucket and weddings
Friday, September 11, 2009

When photobucket sent me a reminder email to sign into my account, i was a little irritated, but am glad I did, cause i found the colour splash function! which is the result above :) Took the picture of the rose which bloomed quite nicely last Saturday morning. The rose has withered alr though.

I don't usually put pictures of my artwork online, but I'm quite happy with this one. My eyeballs are popping out! But most of the time was spent on deciding what to put where. Took me a really long time to decide if should write 1 Cor 13 on the inside of the card. Thought that it's kinda cliched, like everyone writes that on their wedding cards.

As i wrote it though, it reminded me about how hard it is to love! I can't imagine how i'd feel like getting attached, much less getting married.

Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

i am highly impatient, esp with those close to me. Kind?!?! haha. far from it- sometimes the meaness seeps out like oil from fries. It does not envy, does not boast, it is not proud. I can't even run slower to wait for a friend. Not self-seeking (note all the 'I's in the above) not easily angered (hohoho, the anger resides within) keeps no record of wrongs (hell hath no fury like a woman scorned). and the rest? I shall not continue.

She-is the same age as me. To move on to the next 'stage' in life. tomorrow. it is slightly disturbing to think about, yet as always, i'm not cynical this time cause it's marriage- weddings are blissful.

This lullaby is only a few words
A simple run of chords
Quiet here in this spare room
But you can hear it, hear it
Wherever you may go
I will let you down
But this lullaby plays on
