oh how scary. the uncertainty you feel on sunday night because of the week ahead. But then, you do know that you have to put on a brave front.

Took all these at the stone forest, which cost me 140 yuan and a whole lot of imagination. But the tour guide was good. Didn't know whether to feel sad that their pretty stone forest now has perfectly manicured lawns and that their means of survival is to work as tour guides. To tell us that that stone looks like an elephant and to touch this rock, to walk through here, when you do it day in and out...
Very randomly, an old Irish blessing
May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind always be at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

and rains fall soft upon your fields.

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Will my rest day come soon again?

They have such an interesting transportation system. 3 wheel drive that can transport almost anything. They have mian bao che too.

creation is amazing isn't it? the strangest thing was that it was raining in the morning, snowing by mid afternoon and the next day it was sunny.

finally we had cell after such a long time. i missed them when i was busy becoming airpork. time to get down to doing work... life's just like that.

roadtrip
Wednesday, March 05, 2008

i'm back!!! yay. Shall post up my photos in batches. This roadtrip was really really fun. Went all alone feeling quite scared. Firstly, cause the plane was delayed, didn't know if i could catch the connecting flight. Thank you to becca, heens, mag, mummy, daniel and daniel's mum for sending me off. To the rest like kins, val, jess, king, eve & yvonne for their wellwishes. Back safe and sound and in one piece. Have some bruises here and there though. haha. The pictures below were taken on the 5th day, at a park called Cui Hu.

shh.. took this without them knowing. thought they make the scenery complete.

Real tulips. couldn't believe my eyes.. you'll never see tulips in the Singapore parks?

and pretty cherry blossoms. i spoil the picture. ha. and finally, a pair of 鸳鸯?

God took care of me all the way. Felt so scared the first night cause i was all alone in the guest house and the corridoor outside only lights up when you move. Had to find my way back on my own after Abraham(the guesthouse owner) brought me to buy my phonecard. Missed home too.. so much so that i wanted to cry after mummy called.

God took care of all my mealtimes. Had company for all my lunches and dinners. Which is good cause i know that i'll eat rubbish if left on my own. So that down there is 过桥面线 and 干锅 which became 火锅. The spicy soup base was yummylicious. And it was nice too, in the cold, sitting together with them eating.

This lullaby is only a few words
A simple run of chords
Quiet here in this spare room
But you can hear it, hear it
Wherever you may go
I will let you down
But this lullaby plays on
