Just watched a "christmas" programme on christmas lights. Christmas trees glistening with so many lights that you can't even see the tree. Restaurant ceilings covered with soooo many lights and baubles that you can't see the ceiling.
In all honesty, i don't quite like christmas. There's always that constant stress and maybe this year added burdens. I tried to have a pseudo sabbath year where I didn't buy gifts, but the card making was equally tiring. And then on the eve of the eve after spending the day with my fypies, did some last minute shopping. ahahha. Drove starfish mad (i hope) with my persistent banter of ridiculous ideas (which aren't that ridiculous really)
But i like the gathering, I like the fact that angels appeared to simple shepherds and i love the fact that Jesus birth fulfilled covenantal love- hesad.
