this was taken two sundays ago. yawns that's long. I remember the french toast, charlene's curry chicken noodles and liru's cheesy dish and lydia's rice mixed in tomato sauce. and that dear tab was sitting next to me, gavin and bryan was sitting on a lower table and that MQ offered her fish to me and that joce gave a treat to my sister and nicole ( we were trying to convince them to order the most expensive dish on the menu)
highlights of these two weeks would be seeing my friends in the NYP library last friday. ahh.. absence makes the heart fonder. and all of us left the library with the library. (loan quota is 15 books)
connect conference!!! it wasn't mind blowing, but i learnt lots of things. i was probably refreshed also by gathering with fellow christians=D i saw van( the cookie monster fanatic) and daniel and the nyp crusaders.
attachments can be summed up like this "no ifs ands or buts" lols
that's inedible. too cute to be eaten. Too bad i can't read Jap, so i have no idea how to navigate around the website.
did something really terrible and blur today. i walked out of pop with a book that my mum asked me to hold while she was browsing through the shelves. [Toa Payoh popular is having 20% discount on stationary and multimedia if you didn't know. ] don't know if it's thank goodness the alarm didn't sound or i don't know.. anyway, i only realised it when we were near tpy mrt (which is quite some distance away from pop) Was wondering why i was holding a book when i didn't remember bringing one out for dinner. hmms. anyway, my mum put it back where it belonged. so *sighs in relief* oh my..
bunked in with jie yesterday.. haha. it's been a long time since i did that. :)
had a really good talk with Auntie Ros today. i guess God has been trying to tell me the same thing all along- read your BIBLE. what i learnt most from elizabeth elliot is not about purity- but about how grounded she was in her bible. yay. lesson learnt.
As a true blue cedarian, i think trees are good icons. i like trees as much as i love hugging pillars. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love 1Cor13:13
After all that's been said, maybe it's coming to a close. People must be handled with love. Liz jie could be right in saying that there is much unkindness. I can only pray that it'll not happen to us, at our level. let me always remind myself to worship in spirit and in truth, for who God is and not how i'm feeling.
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colosians 1:17 [Sarah's verse of the month]
didn't manage to make it to penang. Which is why my kor kor refuses to reply my email. I did meet my little brother though and i tried to stuff him with lots of food.
happy birthday iris and mabel!! happy belated jia cun and jeanette=)
herein marks the end of the second week of my hols. sighs. i literally scratched the week away with those rashes of mine. I think it's getting better though, and it should after seeing the dermatologist. the good thing though is that sleepless nights are over thanks to the anti-histamine.. haha. the thing is that the effects over-run and i feel tired the next day.
I went to SKS!!! haha. and spent 96.50. oh my.. but $31 of it is for two horns. but it's still a lot. *heartpain* i spent three days poring over elizabeth elliots 'passion and purity' heh.
i put all the unglam photos of my dear classmates eating bbq. Actually they look quite good. haha. My first BBQ where there was an overflow of mashmellows (is that how you spell it?). I had 幸福的感觉 when chu wen, shu zhen, valerie, fionac, vincent came by with toasted mashmellows, golden brown. ahhh.. The taste of it melting in your mouth, with the crispyness of outside. haha. and i had loads of fun eating with two horns, mag mag and kinsing. Kingslin was busy making yummylicious honey toast which is actually very simple. You just have to spread copious amounts of honey and butter and let it heat a little on the aluminium foil before you actually put it on the grill.
we went to sing karaoke too. so fun!! and vanessa should win Singapore idol or something. we thought that it was the recording of the actual singer. oOps.
i spent friday with jin cheng and king doing prep for sisterhood. I finally know how to cut those string of paperdolls. quite cute leh.. haha.
Cell was good. I might be on choppy seas, maybe in the middle of a whirlpool but haven't drowned yet. Maybe i'll be shipwrecked and wet and tired, but still haven't drowned. Thank God for jie, for saltshakers and my sisterhood.
now, hopefully i'll get a ticket to penang. i have no idea how. oh dear.

Although the fig tree shall not blossom
neither shall fruit be in the vines;
the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat;
the flock shall be cut off from the fold,
and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
Habakkuk 3:17-18
This lullaby is only a few words
A simple run of chords
Quiet here in this spare room
But you can hear it, hear it
Wherever you may go
I will let you down
But this lullaby plays on
