youth retreat
Monday, June 18, 2007

Uncle hong is missing in the picture. I'm supposed to be doing my couselling report, but ya, you get the point. There's supposed to be mission team reunion this wednesday but somehow, i feel more like staying at home. Staying at home time can be very very precious indeed. Especially knowing that next term is coming with full force. And somehow with Jia min not going to be there and rebecca feeling only like turning up after the dinner, kinda adds on to the oh-how-i-feel-like-staying-at-home.
on a brighter note, i think youth retreat was pretty great. =) seeing everybody, having the time to sit at the beach with waves crashing(yea, singapore waves don't crash, they just lap the shores) and look at the pretty sky while spending time with God...
God blessed us by keeping all of us dry. I barely slept on friday night, which now seems pretty silly cause i woke up every 20 minutes or so thinking that it was going to rain and all my saltshakers were gonna get wet. There was most of the time dark clouds hovering above us, but amazingly the clouds held on.
oh and the funny highlight was the captain's cabbage. pieces of cabbage flew around and finally, it hit me on the nose. Apparently, it's funny. haha. I think so too. To add on, everyone was hooked onto traffic light as illustrated in the picture above. I'm glad i had the time to talk to ian and gavin this time. To see sean, tab, liru, mq, nicole, daryl, bra, my sis, uncle hong, ian, gavin and char playing together was kinda heart warming.
This weekend, it's my turn to MIA and leave jie with the saltshakers. frowns. hope things will turn out fine. Love keeps no record of wrongs.
Time to get going. gah.

This lullaby is only a few words
A simple run of chords
Quiet here in this spare room
But you can hear it, hear it
Wherever you may go
I will let you down
But this lullaby plays on
