This is part 2 of my zoo outing. haha. Anyway, the Key word in the photo up there is PARTHENOGENESIS. Female Lizards are able to produce offspring without fertilization from the males. Interesting=)
That's the polar bear. We were all wet and tired. So we sat and watched the polar bear. and we took group photos. hee.
Sorry it's abit blur. Told you I can't take photos. Tilt your head 90 degress to the left and that's the turtle mating. oOps. Below that is the Rhino. The picture was taken with evelyn holding the umbrella and all my barang barang.
Below are the two animals I never want to be buddies with. I just don't want to get eaten. *sniffs* The crocodile is HUGE. really really huge. oh my. and the python is long. really really long. oh no.
And yes, this is the last photo. The giant tortoise. It's really big. And we realised that it's not that slow. I still have many other photos but I think I should leave them on the class website instead. yup. I had a fun day.. even though we were all wet and tired.
Guess where I went today? No prizes though.. haha. You're right! Singapore Zoological Gardens!
It's a dream come true. Or rather, we've been talking about it for such a long time, now we finally got there. so yea man~ and that's not my hand up there. haha.
Me and Evelyn met Linda and Rebecca on the bus.. haha. So this is us at the bus stop outside the zoo, all ready to go.
This is evelyn and rizah. We were waiting at the entrance and we saw these two little kids sitting on that hippo. So bored us went to take a photo too. haha
These are the free range orang utans. They were swinging around in the tree..
Oh, either it's just cause we're all girls or because we're from OT, we're easily facinated. haha. We spent at least 10 minutes looking at the orang utans swing around. Armed with our digicams of course.
Oh ya, and I think the animals in the zoo are so used to being photographed, they have learnt how to pose for photos. Like this emu to my right. The emu turned towards my cam after my friend beside me was done with hers.
These two Baboons to the left didnt move much. So much so that
evelyn: " are they real? fake one isit?"
Fiona: no they're real..
Evelyn: "but they arent moving, not even breathing"
Me: Ya hor ( i was seriously doubting my initial stand that these baboons were real)
Much to eveyone's relief, the baboon on the left moved his arm to scratch. and moved back to the original position.
Evelyn: Maybe they are watching TV.
Lols.
Fun fact about elephants : they are light-footed despite being large because they walk on tip-toe!
Below is a picture of how small(yays!) my feet are compared to a elephant. However, I'm not light-footed at all. =X
That's Fiona and me.. haha. Told you my classmates were pretty. =)
I think it's quite alarming what we do to other living creatures. If you can't make out the words, Those "ear rings" are hooked to the ears of the elephant to control them.
Then there's the girth harness. It's rope really. But it rubs against the elephant skin causing bruises.
Then we also have the ear hook, which is placed behind the elephant ears to control em.
One last fact about the elephant that I didnt know. The Ivory husk of the elephant is made of hair. Oh ya. You saw it right. Poachers have been killing elephants by removing their tusks cause ivory is valued. It's just hair for goodness sakes! What medicinal value do those tusks have too? You can try eating your own hair. i better post this before it all gets lost.
the other two=) somehow they always turn towards each other no matter if i turn them back to back. whatever. So, i've separated them. =P yays. I watched Sophie Scholl yesterday. yup, with jessica and rebecca. I went to TPY library first before meeting them. Somehow, TPY library is like my santuary. I go there whenever i need to refresh myself. I dare say that I know that library in and out, where to find different types of books. I have to tell you, i don't exactly like roaming around in orchard. It's got too many people. Sophie Scholl was well worth the 7 bucks i payed for the movie ticket. I wonder if I would dare to die for what I believe in. Like it's quite scary knowing that what you say will result in you getting your head chopped off. (all three of us shut our eyes tight when it came to that part) ..haha. But I think you'll never know till you're in that situation.
that's my new obsession. haha. not that new. The one on the left was generously donated by my sister to add to my collection. I still lack YELLOW. and some other unknown colour. I have GREEN, BLUE, WHITE and ORANGE. haha. At first, when these things appeared in the shop, i thought they were simply ridiculous. Until someone told me that they make you HAPPY. Actually, i think it's purely psychological. You think it makes you happy, and so it makes you happy. Seeing those wide grins make me happy and so they exist in my room.
I DID SOMETHING TONIGHT THAT I REGRET EVER DOING. sitting in the middle of the underground shopping area with chansey, eating my dinner/ supper wasn't a very wise thing to do. What if some silly person captured it in their cell phone and sent it to STOMP? oh no. It was all very harmless, with all the shops closed. and macs being quite crowded. My idea though. I thought it would be a good idea, since there's aircon in the place. Tell me I'm worrying over nothing. haha.
on the more subdued side of me, i was trying to study the other day, but it was getting boring. So i reached out to under the bed and pulled out... a box of letters! haha. luckily it wasnt a cockroach. The poor roach would be quite unfortunate. But as i was saying, those letters made me smile. Esp the one from my senior- something about the words spoken by that of a harmless little pig. I think she was just at her wits end on how to present judie the pig. haha. Almost forgot that judie the pig existed. I saw many more from Liz jie. All those letters of encouragement=) Then i saw a letter from sluggy, liru.. It's just one of the many boxes i have under my bed. Time to do a little spring cleaning. I like neatness. I realised. Messiness and saRAH took over for a long while. They are no more. They might come back. But for now, they are gone. uh huh.
i can't believe I'm studying using my sister's lamp. arh. too bad the light in my room is faulty, and i dont know what to do. It's like candle light. It even feels like candle light. How absolutely romantic, except for the romantic part. I'm so reliant on electricity. I think I'd take it pretty badly if the electricity supplies were cut. now, the thing is, i can't actually see the letters on the keyboard. oOps.
next week. next week. the horrors of next week. and the joys of seeing the next week through =D
I've got another bruise.. haha. How hilarious. After the pract test, we were in the library studying for the next one. I was happily returning to my seat after photocopying 20 pages worth of notes. You see, I didnt think that walking into the chair would hurt. Sniffs. I was going to walk into the chair then slide into it. It just happened that the chair was made of metal and that it was at the same height as my knee cap. so there. I am not CLUMSY. not clumsy. To emphasise my point, things are just in the wrong place.
I was pleasantly surprised when kong ba bao came up to me and said " 我想死你了!" like for not seeing me for 3 hours. haha. and then she gave me a big hug. lols. that was just before my shs test.
back track to 3 hours before, after the anat pract test, jessica came out after me and gave me a big hug. well.. *smiles*
sure feels good not to have to study for one night. me tired. very very tired. nites!
of ya. evan is super cute=D i left the link to his blog on one of my previous entries.

Although the fig tree shall not blossom
neither shall fruit be in the vines;
the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat;
the flock shall be cut off from the fold,
and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
Habakkuk 3:17-18
This lullaby is only a few words
A simple run of chords
Quiet here in this spare room
But you can hear it, hear it
Wherever you may go
I will let you down
But this lullaby plays on
